From the beginning of time, man has chosen to exalt himself, desiring to be like “gods, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5) The same reason that our world is in the shape it is in presently, also plagued the day of Noah. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination was only evil continually.” (Genesis 6:5) Man continues to struggle with imagining things that were never intended by God to enter man’s hearts and minds; Man choosing self over his Creator! Reformers Unanimous strives to equip individuals to cast down every wicked imagination, learn to live in victory, and glorify their Creator.
Every man has the same purpose. “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” (Isaiah 43:7) Every missionary goes to the fi eld for one purpose – to glorify God. Every church planter invests his life to build the body of Christ to glorify God. Every church member serves in the body of Christ with the goal of glorifying God.
Reformers Unanimous exists for this same purpose! We start from the beginning, teaching man God’s truths, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5) We desire to teach these simple truths, in prayer and expectation that one day God will use each RU student to become the next serving church member, faithful church planter, or the next missionary to exalt the name of Christ and to ultimately glorify THE Creator of all!
